From mountains to beaches, Alabama has a rich geographic diversity that would appeal to anyone. The southern tip of the Appalachian mountain chain runs through the north east portion of the state, providing residents with beautiful pine forests and the occasional misty morning; while the southern beaches offer an alluring escape from any bustling lifestyle.
Alabama might have all four seasons, but summer is usually the one most remembered. The heat and humidity associated with June and July are expressed by many as "unbearable," while in winter there is hardly ever snow. When it does snow, there is usually a panic involved because schools all around close for a few flurries.
